Directions

This site is about 2 hours north of San Jose and about an hour north of San Francisco.

From the south via US 101

  • Take 101 north to Santa Rosa.
  • Exit onto Highway 12 exit towards Sonoma (east); stay in the right-hand lane.
  • From Hwy 12, take the first--almost immediate--exit (South E Street/Downtown).
  • Go straight through the light at the bottom of the offramp, which puts you onto Bennett Valley Road.
  • The Fairgrounds is on the right. Do NOT go into the main gate next to Grace Pavilion. After you pass the grounds, turn right onto Brookwood Ave.
  • At the end of Brookwood, turn right onto Allen, which becomes Aston Ave.
  • Just ahead on your right is a booth entrance for the fairgrounds. Enter and take the right side road. Head straight until you see the Lyttle Cow Palace sign on the building. Turn left before the building and park in the marked parking areas.

From the east via CA 12

  • From Highway 12, westbound, take the Downtown exit.
  • Turn left at the stop light. This leads you to the entrance to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Follow the instructions above.

From the north/east via I-80

  • Take 80 southwest to Vallejo, then 37 west to Novato, then 101 north. Follow the instructions above.

Distance from the South Bay

    • 19th Ave. 35-45 MPH and about 500 stop lights. 55 MPH between Golden Gate Bridge and San Rafael. 19th Ave. is beautiful before 7 AM!
    • Going south late in the day, there is often a backup to the toll plaza all the way across the bridge and as far back as Sausalito or even further.
  • Via 880/Richmond-San Rafael Bridge: 109 miles, 1 hr, 45 mins.(5 a.m.), >2 hrs (5 p.m.)
    • 55 MPH between San Rafael and Berkeley.
