A Bay Team wiki category is just a way of grouping related articles and information. Categories can also contain other categories, nested as deeply as needed.

Category structure example

Here is a sample diagram of what some top-level categories in an agility wiki might be. This does not necessarily represent what the Bay Team categories are.

Image:Category example cr.gif

This example shows a top-level category of Category Browser. It's just the name chosen by the webmaster for the top of the hierarchy. This category might contain four other categories: trials, members, photos, and club info. Each of those categories, in turn, might contain other categories or articles.

In the Bay Team wiki, the actual top level is Category:Top level (not "Category Browser"). Ta da!

Belonging to multiple categories

An article or category can belong to as many categories as are appropriate. In the preceding example, the member photos category belongs both to the members and the photos categories.

How to browse categories

At the bottom of each article, click the name of a category to browse related articles and subcategories within that category. (For example, at the bottom of this article, click Help to see what else is in the Help category, and from there you can also browse up and down the category hierarchy.)
